Buprestidae

I never had the courage to collect these gems among the beetles. However, my teacher Karel Polacek, to whom I have always looked up, would give me a beautiful one any time I visited him. So, when I straightened my back after kneeling over heaps of droppings, I started searching for beetles of this family myself. Identification is of course provided by my colleague mentioned above.
